Hello, I am Kaustubh Naik. I am currently a doctoral student at the University of Pennsylvania’s South Asia Studies Department. I completed my MA from the School of Culture and Creative Expressions, Ambedkar University Delhi, and an MPhil from the School of Arts and Aesthetics, JNU. My detailed bio can be read here.

In my doctoral research, I work on the histories of Portuguese colonialism in Southwestern India from the 18th-20th century. I am specifically interested in the histories of colonial institutions and how they order quotidian life.

I am one of the founding members of The Al-Zulaij Collective.
